Our goal is to present local schools, i.e. people, their research directions, and research traditions specific for certain regions. Of course people often moved from place to place, but we try to assign them to local schools to which they belonged most appropriately.
Eastern Europe
“Triple-E” special Issue of the Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry (Electrochemistry in Eastern Europe, 27 (2023) N7, coedited with Laszlo Peter) gave rise to corresponding Collection. Historical part of this issue inherits “Electrochemistry in the Divided World” book, and contains the articles concerning electrochemistry in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Marija Mitrović), Bulgaria (Vessela Tsakova), Estonia (Enn Lust and coauthors), Georgia (charge transfer research, Dimitri E. Khoshtariya and coauthors, and manganese electrochemistry, Nikoloz Nioradze), Latvia (Jānis Kleperis, Gunārs Bajārs and coauthors), Moldova (Alexandr Dikusar and coauthors), Poland (Krakowian branch, Katarzyna Skibińska and Piotr Żabiński), Serbia (Nevenka R. Elezovic).
