
Mostly known to colleagues and friends as Sasha, Aleksandr M. Kuznetsov (1938-2009) was uniquely friendly and highly concentrated person. He kept the spirit of Theoretical Department for two decades after the Department was mostly dispersed all over the world at the very beginning of 1990s. He was also very precise theoretical instructor for experimentalist, and a great lecturer.

Alexander Kuznetsov Prize for Theoretical Electrochemistry is awarded by International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) every two years, starting from 2010.
This 2004 photo was taken in 2004, when Sasha Kuznetsov presented Christmas lecture “Theory of Love” in Moscow University.
